Lunati EDM solid lifters.... Okay to use in a stock block?

These Lunati solid lifters seem odd to me.

Since I opened the package and looked at the wide open center of these, I've wondered of they are right for what I want. Tonight I showed them to a Mopar buddy. He thinks that they might be for use in an engine with bushed lifter bores.
Compare the Lunati lifters with THESE from Howards:

The Howards have a thin oil band similar to a Hydraulic lifter. The Howards seem like a "no-brainer" while the Lunati ones seem iffy.
What do you think?

my understanding with those tappets is if the lift at the lobe pushes the tappet high enough the groove will be outside the oil galley/tappet bore and bingo, erratic or no oil pressure.

Looks funny to me.....
I use EDM "cool face" lifters from Hughes....

Install one, rotate the cam to the highest point, if the gap is inside the bore, you're good. I'd like to see the gap at least an 1/8 inch down in the bore, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to call lunati to make sure. This style was very common back in the day, they're a light weight lifter. Think about pistons, which would be better, a heavy or light piston? Lifters have to stop direction and go back, just like a piston does, that was the thinking.

X2 19polara, i've used this style and they work, I would check all 16 to be safe. and not in the same hole
check and recheck

Not EVERYONE checks all the forums, so no need to be so judgemental. If I knew everything, I wouldn't be asking for help.
I am not doing repetitive actions looking for different results. Your point isn't valid.

Gregory not trying to insult u here, while giving advice on your question....just wanted to point out that give people a chance to help and answer your questions...be patient....there's no need for the rapid fire posting with the same question it's like watching a humming bird on crack....lol just meant as a joke so don't get offended.

I will tell u from being in engine machine shops for yrs it's been mild compared to the slinging u would get there
