max wedge valve cover breathers/ which is correct?

-Do the breathers go on the front near radiator, or near the firewall?

-Did they change the orientation from year to year?

-Some photos show a PCV fitting, what year did that occur?

I've looked at many photos and can't draw a conclusion....some are front, some back, some pcv's...

On mine, as directed to me by my Max Wedge builder Mr. Dale Reed...

Drivers side: Breather cap in FRONT of valve cover
Passenger side: Breather cap in REAR of valve cover.

Im sure it does not matter.
 
413 or 426 ? Ramcharger or Superstock

I wish this showed both sides as I am pretty sure this car is restored very correct. I do have the 1963 Hot Rod with a black & white pic of the 426 Maxie as it came in the 63 they road tested. If you like I will dig it up and post the pic of the eng from it ? Ron

This is the correct PCV for 62,not sure of 63 and 64,rear right side valve cover.
