Modern Bullitt build

Its amazing how satisfying a well fitting part is! Although watching this thread I think that you more then able to take an ill fitting part and modify it to work better then OEM

Sounds great! Almost there, can't wait to hear how the first few cruises go.

Thanks! I am so looking forward to running this car through the gears! Maybe this weekend I’ll get it through first and second For a half mile drive down our street?

Pat, I have been looking after your build for almost 5 years now. In the meantime I completed my own build of a basket case 70 Satellite. Not only is your build a marvel in all ways, the information you shared helped me so much in reassembling my own car. Now if I could only get all that beautiful stainless lines and hidden routing on my ride :) Thanks so much for sharing your journey and helping beginners such as myself.

Damon, appreciate your kind words and following along all these years!
Thank You and good luck with your Satellite!

The reproduction Map pocket cufflinks did not look as nice as my originals (3rd pic) Unfortunately removing the originals doesn’t leave enough of the stud to reattach to the new panels. So I used my Weld Mount studs and epoxy on longer threaded studs making the cufflinks installation very simple. I think the 68 map pocket is a little big for today’s maps;-)

Legendary‘s carpet set fits great with a few modifications and the addition of some foam to fill the gap around the modified shifter tunnel. It’s nice that they make this carpet extra long at the firewall so you cannot see any of firewall. Just letting it relax for a few days with a some 25 pound lead bags.

Thanks

Pat

I decided to reuse the original door sills. The repro‘s don’t look as nice as the originals after polishing, even with a few dents and scratches.

Thanks

Pat

Received an email from Carlisle events to be part of their featured vehicle display at the Chrysler nationals. (Thank you Ed Buczeskie!) It will be great showing the vehicle for the first time in Carlisle as this is where I saw the car for the first time prior to buying it 9 years ago. Having an indoor space to show my black Charger pretty much assures everyone that we will have a rain free and relatively cool weekend;-)
