Thanks to @rod440 for the super retro M/T covers. Sprayed them with a little prime and body color. Me likey!

Dry to the touch. Gonna let em "hang out" for a while and cure...

All set to install this weekend.

As for cutting a hole in a used tank... decided to fill her with water then cut away! Turned out great. Meaning, still got all my parts, and ain't none of them got cooked.

Gonna let her dry a few days till the weekend then final rinse with denatured to be sure all that nasty water be gone.

Considered replacing the tank, but turns out it's the shiniest part of my car so I's a keepin her.

Just mocking it up... Almost too purdy to hide!

She's half full of fuel. No wonder my fuel gauge was off all these years. Got another coming in tomorrow. Let's hope she does the job...
