Well I didn't make it with the Polara. About an hour north it developed a bad surge. Like an engine miss but more subtle. I didn't want to chance it another 2 hour drive so I turned it around and nursed it home. At idle, it runs real slow and a bit rough like it's running off of one side of the 2 barrel. It sure felt like it was fuel related. I checked the filter and the gas was clean, no sediment, and not boiling. The lines were cool to the touch. I have been having hesitation issues with it since I bought it. That will clear up and then re-appear within a few stops. Like something floating around inside the carb and settling in places it doesn't belong. The car came with a Weiand aluminum 4 barrel intake and I have a 650 AVS II to go on. Many here say converting a Poly to a 4 barrel, electronic ignition (I have) and dual exhaust (I also have) really makes a nice difference. That's my next plan. If you have followed along so far, is there any special brackets or the like to make the swap work well?Driving to MITP on Friday. It's always a fun show and only 3 hours away now that it's back in Farmington (Minnesota)
