Gas car at the diesel pump!

View attachment 1550162
My dad just did that and filed it with diesel, 3/4s of a tank worth
he was going down to Modesto for a dr.s appt.
in my Newish Gladiator Rubicon, with less than 13k miles on it
he then drove about 20 miles, it died (& it hydrostatically locked),
he kept trying to start it too, back on Sept. 27th IIRC

he didn't know what happened
the next morning I looked at his fuel receipt, it said like 16 gal. diesel
he said oh **** yes he probably did, he was used to driving my
02 PS Diesel Ford F350 4x4, for the past 20 years prior
checked with the dealership, where he had it towed to
& yep it had diesel in it...

I'm still waiting on a motor, UAW strike nonsense
he'll pay dearly too, that **** is negligence,
is not under Jeep/Chrysler warranty coverage...

my AAA auto insurance may cover it thou...
$100 deductable, if he gets lucky

I half thought about putting a Gen 3 Eagle Head, 392/6.4ltr Hemi in it
too much $$$ out of pocket right no thou...

Ugh.

My AAA auto insurance only covers me the policyholder when I’m driving. What coverage do you have, that sounds pretty cool.
Full coverage (we just lowered our mileage per year, drastically)
don't drive anywhere near like we were...
And saving like $1300 a year more, mostly on the Galdiator, it's pricey...
Mt 99 Dakota SLT 4x4 is only like lil' over $400 annually,
was like almost $800 yearly
the newer Jeep Glad. is like $1200 now (was $1,800)
my 68 RR is a one-off policy, buy my stated or determined value...
price per thousand, it's like $190 annually, it was very lil' miles less than 1,000...
I'm not restricted by miles just don't drive far, it does need to be garaged...
No RV anymore or a 1 ton dually, that saves a ton too...
The Glad. is about the same ins. price as the 02 F350 dually...

We pay the whole policy in full every Nov., due by the 30th
(Own them all outright, no financing BS)
Both me & my dad are on the registration/pinks-titles as in &/or, co-owners
all my stuff is like that, if one of US was to die, it's a whole lot easier that way
all of it is in the living trust too...
I originally started doing that in about 2007, bundling his & mine
when he started to live with me, I moved him down off the mountain,
sold his cabin 2005, moved him to a lower elevation, far less snow, better for his health
I sold my places/duplexes in the Valley, in 2007...
We both were insured by them, why not make it one bill ?
with both drivers...
(this was back when my dad was still RV-ing a lot, he had his Motorhome then still)
It was way cheaper, just still do it today, no way they can say he isn't
a primary driver that way, he's driven all mine except the RR...

I was actually shocked when they even said;
"they'd even look into covering it"...
The service writer suggested it, because the Jeep Warr. wouldn't
he submitted it, for US...
Allegedly they will, I'm waiting for photos & prices from the dealership
documentation, they need a couple photos, & they will process it...
I figured they'd say "no way, that's on you/or him"...

I guess me having them for 30+ almost 40 years now
& me having 'no claims' personally, clean record too
my dad has, his record took a hit, none really his fault completely,
but not me/none...
That may have helped, been with the same agent the whole time local lady...
All my homeowners, cars & trucks, fully covered
all my business rigs, all were too, loyalty has it's privileges I suppose etc.

Charlie Brown coughing.gif

A guy walks into the Pharmacy coughing violently and gets to the counter....barely manages to ask for something to stop the horrible coughing.

The Pharmacist was on break, so the Assistant gives the guy a big bottle of laxative, and tells him to drink a third of it immediately. The guy does, and he stands in the corner of the shop. A few minutes go by, and the guy has stopped coughing but is now trembling a bit at the knees.

The Pharmacist comes out, sees the guy and asks the Assistant what is going on.

The Assistant says, "He had a terrible cough when he came in, so I gave him some strong laxative."

Pharmacist replies "How stupid. You don't prescribe laxatives for a cough. How is that going to solve the problem?"

Assistant comes back with.... "Look at him.....he won't cough now because he's so petrified that he'll **** himself!"

:p
