Prating for you my friend. Stay safe!
Introduce me to the cat herd please.
I'm on the East side of Sacramento, and i have a white car that looked like it was parked in a coal mine overnight.
There is so much ash in the air from the fire, and i can only imagine what it's like for air quality close to the center of the fire.
Thank you sir!Yes, thank the lord that you are safe and the damage was minimal.
I hope all is better than expected...Thanks everyone. I have just been posting at end of thread from time constraints & incessant communication issues with family & friends. I will back up and read everything later. I think our place will be ok. A source just told me the 747 just flew over our houses.
I'm in OR now and starting to unwind.
Had a great drive up after the smoke cleared just after Redding, 100 crow flying miles from the fire!
Made friends at fuel stops.
This family was COOL. Their little boy started yelling about 'That car!' and Dad, Mom & Mom-in-law were soon to follow. They swarmed it taking pictures of themselves with it from every angle while I was pumping Ethyl. It kind of embarrassed me...
When the pump clicked off they were still doing it so I asked them if they'd like one of the whole family with it.
OH MY! You can not imagine the genuine joy that gave them! I told them I couldn't move in to the sun because I had a cat in there and they just started posing and I started snapping with their phones. Good stuff! Blabbed with them about 20 minutes answering questions. They were the most appreciative and considerate people who have ever approached me (yes, I know, it's the CAR).

Came out from another and saw this one.
My jaw dropped and I just hollered out "Thank you! That is the best thing I've seen all day."
He said, "Is that your Charger?"
Me: "Yes"
Him: "That's the best thing I'VE seen all day"
The we talked awhile about the car & their bear hunting trip they were headed for.
A few random pics of the drive:
