Welcome to the new forum, Shop, Garage and Tools

Building a garage? Want to ask about which tool is better? Looking on information about your home shop?

After seeing some threads about building a garage, and seeing a number of threads about what tool is best, I thought creating this forum might be a good idea.

I hope you all agree!

The only advice i can donate is, build as big as you can the first time. i built mine thinking it was lots big enough, 30X50X16 ceiling height. NOT. now i am snooping around for another build just for winter car storage. take your time and check out other shops asking what they would do different if starting again. everybody has a wish list and you only get one first time. good luck. rick

Nice set up! Glad to see that you have the funds and means and talent to make progress! My two deficiencies are time and money, in that order! haha.

Don't worry Shag, I'll hold on to your extra's! lol. Seriously though, I've seen pictures of your garage before and I think it's awesome. I really like what you did with the elevated storage in the corners man. Wasn't your shop the one with the really awesome looking motorcycle on the wall too?

Well i just did it. bought another shop building for storage. 32X48X18H. impulse buyer for sure. this way i will have all my stuff under my own roof's. 14,000.$ for 1536 sq ft = 9.11$ a sq ft. i couldn't build one for twice that money. Jeezuz i am hooked.:headbang:

I love the Coronet/Super Bee or what ever, it looks very trick..... I wish I had a bigger garage {I'm using a tiny 19'x19' small shop/garage now, half of the space is used up for tool storage & work bench} I have to move stuff constantly, just to work on my RR, it's a pain in the ***, oh & a bunch more funds to do some more projects...LOL..., I can't wait to finish my shop that is now just a 28'x42' open car port for a RV & Boat, for my Pops soon to be sold....

Thanks for the compliment. Your 28x42 will be a nice size space to work in.

Ok, here's my work in progress. Built it last year, 40x60...

Put some stuff in it...

And just finished wiring it, installing lights, and building an office in the front with storage above...

In the last pic, just in front of the silver tool box, my 2 post lift will be going in right after Christmas.

I have no time, space, or money. There are some real nice shops out there.

Mark42202, looking at the pics and just curious as to why you cut that roof truss?
You have a nice shop by the way.
