I agree but let's not go there in this thread.Unless/until the government regulates them out of existence.
Look at what they've done to oil exploration and production in the last 11 months, and tell me they can't / won't do it.

This is the post of the year. Don’t buy them!
VW, Toyota and Tesla are telling them the infrastructure won’t support it, they don’t care if the worker bees have reliable daily go anywhere transportation.
they won’t buy them, but want us to buy them. It’s all special interest and they are getting paid off! Just like opec oil. Why do you think they ran straight back there on day one? Awake yet?
Nothing bad. I'm 65 and who knows how long I will last, may be another 10 years? May be more. I might be around at 80 but not able to get around for car shows and cruises. You never know what direction life will take you. Play while you can.
Well it might but I don't want to believe it or go there. We can keep it alive (I hope) by continuing to make it popular. Our local Memorial day cruise and Show and shine fetches a thousand cars. That's what I'm talking about.I thought you might be suggesting that the hobby itself was coming to an end.

I have 2 and neither care about the hobby. Sad.Get the kids involved. They love it! I give rides, let them sit in my car, etc.
I’m hoping to persuade my youngest of the three to get into cars. Planes, trains and history! My oldest only likes euro trash and swears my stuff is junk but won’t say it to me.. it actually stings when he pulls in the driveway in his little Benz ragtop.. I was taught to buy and support only American made.. I believe it and live by it, him it’s not even a thought ...
Depends on the tags here in Maryland. "Historic" or year of manufacture tags, you "aren't supposed to drive them every day". I got nabbed years ago because I was driving my Satellite and went past the same cop's house, every day. Whoops, heheh. "Sorry officer, my other car has its transmission out right now and I have to get to school". That was enough for that one, no ticket, just a "reminder not to do it".I've heard there are some places that have laws that you can only drive your classic car one day a week.
We're not too many more generations from it. Young people can't afford them even if they're interested. The cost of fuel and replacement parts, not to mention the cheap crappy parts that fail, also factor in.I thought you might be suggesting that the hobby itself was coming to an end.
Marketing people love drama and attention. Stellantis marketing people are no different and are going to do anything and everything to stay in the limelight...keep their products in the limelight. It's all so well orchestrated by Stellantis and the automotive writers. It will be interesting to see how many Challengers and Chargers they actually sell before the curtains fall.
It’s funny to see Matt in a serious role but I like his descriptions... big old American balls! Yep he nailed it ! That would be a fun ride.

Both vehicle assembly and battery plant as per:Here is something of note. Georgia just landed a 5 billion dollar Rivian production plant. These are EV trucks and Vans. But I think this plant will be a battery assembly plant.
I concur,
Many of us on this forum are past our fifties or sixties, some in poor health that no longer have the physical abilities to enjoy our car hobby to its fullest. And spend many hours of their day on the FBBO discussing MOPARs or POLITICS.
I thoroughly enjoy every aspect of the Mopar car hobby and will continue to own, drive and work on cars, boats and utvs as long as my health allows.
Life can throw many curves, so enjoy while you can.
