I grew up and still live in about 4 months of maybe cold and snowy winters or maybe mild and not so snowy winters, either way its still winter cold with no hotrods or motorcycles from December till April. I got a few buddies that live further south and get nice weather this time of year but come summer they have so much heat or hurricanes the toys stay inside for about the same duration. All you guys getting beautiful weather and no snow now most likely will be baking in extreme heat this summer.....its one of those "the grass is always greener" scenario's. No matter where we all live we all have a hotrod season. I plan to go south for some of the winter when I retire but not sure how long I want to abandon my shop, maybe just a few weeks at a time....hard decision.

Here in Central md we haven't gotten the snow yet that is supposed to happen tomorrow. So all of the idiots that have to run out and return their library books or fill up the car because the lady on the TV News said so will be out. They will be in way or the road rage people driving a hundred mph because they know how too, they say as you pull them out of a ditch.
Occasionally we get about 1 to 3 feet of snow, the roads are open within 24hrs after the storm.
The road crews don't get enough kudos for that

Anyone that pretends to like cold weather can go to a dog pound and lick every dog butt there.

Living in California I can think of MANY reasons to want to leave the state.
The weather isn’t one of them.
Had a light rare snowstorm once about 25 years ago
Yeah, but Southern californians have just as much trouble with rain as the rest of the country with snow and ice.
Guys driving 20 mph on the fwy, and some doing 80, at the same time, crashing into one another for no reason, other than the roads are wet.

It snowed AGAIN here today. Seems like every other day. We've had to have the long driveway at the ranch to the gate plowed twice to get rid of the 2-foot drifts. I was out at the ranch today and the wind was blowing while it was snowing. The wind really whistles going through all the Ponderosa Pines. It was really beautiful.

We do need the moisture. There's a sign with a needle showing fire danger in the Black Forest. It was pegged at the bottom saying NO DANGER so there are good things about our white January.
