One 383 cylinder head to be machined and gone through

For a basically stock 383, I’d just use Fel-Pro 8519pt-1 head gaskets.

What was the bill for doing the one head?

About 11 hundred. OUCH that hurt. Plus, the cost of head gaskets/intake and exhaust. That is separate. At least the shock towers are repainted and no blister spots where the paint let go from the primer. Still not that much room to get a touch up gun in the passenger side even with the head off. Thanks to all and will let you guy's know how the motor works out. The head on passenger side is striaght and now will check the block with a straight edge hope it is going to all be good. Blue.

Did not bother to even look. Just asked how much they took off the head and came home and started to put it all together and put it on. There are not that many machine shops out there anymore that work on our old stuff.

I wouldn't have waisted a minute thinking it over, and just bought a new pair of Stealth heads before sticking that much $ into a 906.
