Looked at a rm23 70 rr today. Original bl1 car with vinyl top, now different color, non orig. 383 Motor, bucket and console car. Owner at one time added air grabber hood and parts minus switch. Needs floor patching or total replace, both quarters, rear part of rocker panels blown out, lower door corners blown out, a lot for stripping and redoing dented and wavy bodywork and rechrome all chrome. trunk may be saved it's a wet mouse house now. Car was semi restored about 20 years ago and has been outside in northern climate for about 10 years under tarps. Interior is decent But damp and musty smelling. Motor does not run but soposlly it did when parked 10 Years ago. What would be a fair offer? non motivated seller. Needs vinyl top replaced.

We need some pictures.Does it have a fender tag and or buildsheet? Without pictures I would say maybe $3500.00 if the hood is good, but really hard to say without more info and pics.Sounds like a rough car and a major project.

I bought a 69 with a running non matching 440 in similar condition but missing some parts for around 2500.00 about 6 months ago. Its my rusty little baby..money eater.

Really need pics but I always assume the worst so I'd say $2000-$3000 but if it's as bad as you say it is I'd deff wouldn't go any higher. Remember it may cost more for a nicer car up front but in the end it will be cheaper ,so just because it's there and affordable doesn't mean you should buy it I'd go low and see what happens if he says no walk away and keep looking I've seen guys pick up nice rust free cars for $3000 it just depends on how bad you want it. You can always go back and offer more later .

I would say between $2,000 to $3,000 without seeing pictures, non running and the different color could be hiding some major rust.

here is the only pictures i got without prying to much. engine bay not bad, motor not running now and condition of it unknown and its been sitting like this, hood down, under tarps for over 10 years. It is the sheetmetal and bodywork on the car that is the bad part. kinda different color combo originally.

I haven't seen to many BL1 roadrunners... My cars is BL1 but painted it orange with burnt orange interior... Are cars look pretty much the same except mine came with a white vynl top and yours I think has a black one.

Since this is a little older post, not sure what you did.
I would say $3-4000.00. unless your a body & paint guy, your going to have well over $10000.00 in the body. Then another $5000.00 in interior, plus tires, brake repairs, you can spend $30000.00 in no time at all. My advice is always start with the most complete car you can afford, trying do extensive body work & trying to track down some of the small missing parts is going to cost more than a nice one.

Well, what i did was offer him $6,000.00 for it and he looked at me like i kicked him in the grapes! I do alot of nice work my self including interior, body and paint so im able to afford to pay alittle more but i thought it was more than fair. i see so does everyone else! Thanks

Yeah. Supplies and then you get into the replacement panels. You never know what you'll find after you get the paint off. I think you offered a more than fair price. There are cars out there in the 2-3k range in the same shape as that just gotta keep looking. Heck I may suffer a stroke grinding rust off mine and it may be available soon ha ha
