What's the difference from the orange box and the chrome box? I have the orange now. It's on my 75 440 6 pack with mild cam.
Thanks

Orange (P4120505) box usually denotes a HP unit up to 6000 RPM, whereas the chrome is just a std replacement. The only caveat is if the chrome box is pn# P4120534 which is a race unit up to 8000 RPM. There was a chrome unit called the "Super Gold" ECU pn# P4120600, and that was a race only for up to 10,000 RPM, and has the black finned heat sink on it.

I was told that an orange box made after 1988 was no good. How do you tell what year they were made? Mine has 0721 and the part number on it.

I was told yesterday by a six pack guy to use the chrome box. Even though youre not going to run it to 8000 RPM, it still works better overall.

I put one on and it seems to be stronger.

That's good to hear, I was going to get the chrome box but decided to try the Rev-n-nator. Hope to test it this weekend.
