Paper towels

I hate those short sheet paper towels. When I make a mess, its usually a big deal requiring a shitload of paper towel in a hurry. Wife always buys those stupid short sheet rolls that give you half of what you really need. Be careful who you steal from!

Some of the rolls give you a choice of either full sheets or half sheets. You have to read the package to find out what one you're getting.

Depends on the purpose.
I don't like using expensive Blue Towels to clean tractor windows

For that I use Brawny or Sparkle.
I'm boycotting Bounty forever.
I agree on not using the expensive blue scotts for windows. Guess I should have both on hand depending on the job......................MO

That may be the Wypall X80, you can get them on the roll or in a box.

The shop I used to work at before I got hurt bought huge box's of "rags " from good will type place. I think it was some 700 rags in each box for $30 a box they were shirts that didn't sell cut down into square s . I just finished the last of my stock in them I bought 2 box's not long before I got hurt those were the best rags everything was washed and clean. But now my father in-law gets my a bundle of shop towels from his work I just have to save them and turn in the dirty ones so they can get cleaned .

I used to do that, but no one around here uses the shop towel cleaning service anymore..................MO

I just buy cheap towels at yard sales, and then cut them into whatever you want

Of all places, the Exxon machine shop where I worked bought rag from places like Good Will etc. Most do not know this but the majority of donated clothing do not go to their resale shops (most do not know just how much old clothing gets donated) but goes straight to the shredder for resale as rag. That went on for many years until we started getting under ware. Some of it was fun to toss around at each other until we started getting stuff with 'stains' and that's when we said enough. We weren't all that happy with most of the so called rags anyways as too much of it didn't work very well as rags.
