What car did this come off of? Make, model, year? If you get it, you're a genius because I've been asking around for quite a while with no definitive answers, just lots of guesses. Thanks guys!!

It is a bracket for the accelerator pedal. The cable fits through the rubber grommet.

I have this picture from under the dash of my 78 Dodge pickup. Looks similar, but not identical.

Maybe from an earlier truck of the "Sweptline" era?

Based on the color, I'd venture a guess that it may have come from a military Jeep or truck.
