Last year's (2018) Challenger sales were the best in history. Chrysler has deliberately reduced fleet sales to rental cars, those aren't where the profits are.Not to be a naysayer, but how much longer can Dodge milk those two cows? I like both of them now, but not originally. FCA has up with some interesting one-off iterations, but overall sales are waning. FCA at some point (soon?) will have to drop them. Maybe the Charger will soldier on if police departments and rental car companies continue to use them.
Dodge needs to introduce something new and innovative that is kick-***.
Maybe they need the mid engine configuration, doesn't look like they have the skills to handle the front engine RWD configuration of a muscle car.
