My brother and I raced this Cuda in the 90s. Sold in 07 but kept the engine finally rebuilding it now for a B Body! So you you guys should be seeing me more over here on the racing side.

stage VI 440,13.4:1, m1, 850 race dp, 030 over domed trw, ly rods w arp rod bolts and main studs. 274/282@ .050 on 111, .630 lift. Harlan sharp 1.5s. 2 1/8 hooker super comps.
70 v cude cuda(turned into a race car unfortunately)..backhalfed, ladder bar, leaf springs, 12point dana 60 4.88, 14x32, 3650 race wt. Built the tranny out of a 77 lockup727 switched the front guts, bolt in sprag, tranZact of indy pro brake, turbo action 5500 J 8" converter. On the brake full power it would carry the wheels nearly through 1st. But the second pass the brake wouldn't hold(we blamed it on a weak front pump) so we always left at 2500 on a two step with the delay box on the top bulb and lost some e.t. The stage VI heads were a very early set they were bought from ray Barton, barton cleaned up the seats and flowed them and they were in a magazine. But I can't remember the publication. They flowed 270 with the stock port. With the stock port and a 270/280 @.050 roller .610 lift on the 2 step we ran a 10.75@121. We built our own flowbench and ported the heads...started out in the bowls and actually lost intake flow. Interesting Barton had the seats maximized for the ports...but we didnt give up started make the port taller...a lot...had to tig weld some holes about 330 cfm. With head porting and slightly bigger cam resulted in a 10.30@127. Did not even get to tune the new combo,...unfortunately the ly rods didnt like the new power and we pulled one in two...when we took the engine apart we were also getting spider cracks in the middle of two cylinders. Combo had several tenths left just not w the ly rods. LOL Just picked up the engine last week...new block shortfilled, scat h beams, maybe tunnel ram this time? And several project cars in our stable looking at more street then strip this time, probably 6 point and leaf springs,.possibly in a 73 roadrunner...not sure on the car 100% yet.

Loving the Runner pictures Jannu!
Why is the ****-tid different to the Basta-tid?
Only joking, that really amused me lol.
Do you know a guy in Finland with a 71 GTX in Sassygrass?
He bought it from a friend of mine in California about 7 years ago?

We ran an iron headed 440 to 10.40 @ 130 in a street Dart with pump gas and no nitrous.
The Dart did run 8.2 @ 180 with a 400 block and Indy heads also on pump gas on street tyres too.

How big is the cam you mentioned 600+ and what is the duration that's helping it with being street friendly...... Thanks for sharing your combo

Very few street miles with this motor, but the idle & drivability in the pits is acceptable. The cam is just under .600 with 259/268*@.050. My previous 500" motor was 10.5 CR, EDE RPM's & an antique Cam Dynamics 565/585 265/[email protected], 4781 850/Victor manifold. Over 1000 street miles including a few in extended stop & crawl in 90* staying at 205* water temp, which immediately went back to 180* above 40 MPH. But that was a 10.5 CR on 93 pump gas. The 512 won't see very many street miles.

New best last weekend!

We snuck into the 10.30's with a 10.39 @ 130. Horrible 60 ft. of 1.53 due to all of the street tire cars racing and minimal prep but I knew that going in. 91 pump gas, 3.54 gear, 11" converter, through the mufflers with 275 radial street tires and 3,600 lbs.
