I received one early. It's a Norwegian saying. "NO SUCH THING AS BAD WEATHER. ONLY BAD CLOTHING" It just means bad weather isn't going to keep Norwegians from enjoying the outdoors.

There’s no such thing as bad weather in Norway — only bad clothing!

Norway is a country of remarkable nature, scenery, and endless things to do. However, what about the weather? Norway does have a stereotype of being freezing cold during the winter. But, of course, in parts of the country, that’s very true.

Norwegians have a straightforward outlook on the weather — when the weather is good, we appreciate it, but we don’t expect good weather. When you visit Greece, you’re probably going to get fantastic sunny weather. Norway isn’t quite as predictable, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t embrace the weather. As long as you pack the perfect clothes — you’ll never have any issues!

Did you know the summers in Norway are often very pleasant? It’s reasonable to say the weather is cooler than the Mediterranean, yet temperatures can often rise between 25 and 30 degrees celsius. With that said, Norway has a massive variety of climates, and the four seasons vastly differ.

The weather entirely depends on where you are. For example, coastal areas tend to have milder winters. However, coastal areas can feel colder sometimes because of the humid wind that blows over the coast. And of course, the Northern and mountainous parts of the country are generally very cold in the winter. Let’s take a deeper look at Norway’s climate and the best time to visit.
