Prep for epoxy primer

Hmmm, don't think so ! That's the whole point od a 2k primer - the damn stuff is like a complete plastic coating. Sealers are generally not to keep stuff "out" but rather to keep stuff "in". In other words, it prevents anything from bleeding though into the topcoat.
That is what sealers do stop bleed but 2k is porous along with bondo products.
 
The original question was for epoxy, not all 2k are epoxy. Epoxy isn't porous, but a 2k Urethane primer is.
Epoxy and its name is a catalyzed reaction that produces a impervious barrier to moisture. @k Primers can be Urethane based with talac and other builders. The 2 k reference to this class is ability to build layers for sanding while remaining hard enough to avoid quick powdering.
