So I just got my charger sandblasted. The front floor pans on both sides have rusted through not too bad but I’m not good at welding at all. Would it be okay to screw it in to the floor then weld it? Or what should I do? 73charger it looks like someone did this in the past without welding it though.

Are you planning on cutting out the rust? Doing a full pan? or half pans?

How much floor pan you got?

Buy some sheetmetal from a local steel supplier. Cut out the bad bits. Pay a mobile welding guy to weld the patches in for you. Paint them with epoxy and then seam sealer on the edges.
Budget job but will be structurally solid.

you have a picture of the pans? Can you place those in the area there for?

These are the ones I’m picking up I was thinking it should do the trick

For me it’s looks better and would be easier to just cut it all out and put entire pan in and spot weld it all but order the pan first. Took my pan 4 months to get it. Installed it from the bottom up.
