Fred has a set of repro Magnum 500's (15" chrome, not the "trim ring" factory originals).
Does anyone know offhand what size the little center cap retainer bolts/screws are inside?
Going to the tire joint tomorrow and want to bring a socket with me.
Thanks!

No, they should be a reduced head size.
I don't even know what that means. :)

Ok, so the standard hex head size for 1/4" is 7/16" apparently, so I'll figure to bring that along
with the immediate adjacent sizes on either side?

Both bolts are 5/16"x18, but the heads are a different size. Left is 7/16" and right is 1/2".

Ah, now I see thanks.
Now...what size socket am I going to need to take with me then?
5/16, 3/8, 7/16, 1/2. A little extra weight in your pocket, but saves you a trip.

I have one cap that I guess the PO lost the 5/16” head bolts. A pair of 3/8” head bolts fit fine inside the retainer.

Just ckd, The ones in mine are 5/16" hex washer head type screw
