'Guida at Home' on the Food Network (?),
last I saw she was holding up well

I'd bet she's still pretty & slim, last I saw she was...
One hell of a cook, I got a few ideas from her show listening, in the office
while Lisa watched a lot 20+ years ago (Lisa stayed slim like her too, RIP babe)

I understand a bit of weight gain over time but to blow up like Rosie O Donnel or Whoopie Goldberg ???
I’ve gained 20 lbs since the first marriage in 1990. My ex swelled up over 51%.
That is not acceptable.
She is almost double her pre-Greg weight now.

My wife has gained about 20 pounds in thirty nine years of marriage, I probably gained about 40 pounds since we got married. My wife asked me last winter to build her an exercise room, who am I to stop a woman who wants to exercise! She uses it too.

I saw this to a shocking degree at my 50 year high school reunion. My wife currently weighs less than when she graduated from college, and has a family history of obesity. A lot of people making poor choices.

Heaviest was 205 around age 35
195 now, so net gain of 17.

We are similar.
My wife has gained MAYBE 20 lbs max
She takes very good care of herself works out 4 or 5 days out of the week.
Walks probably 5 to 10 miles a day.
She is in better shape than the day we got married. She turned 54 tgis past June.

I've gained about 30-35 ...

Been together 33 years next month.
Married 30 next month

I’d say you’ve put all this in the best perspective. The cute-ness is gone, but spend most days doing fix-its for my kids and wife, in-between all da other **** that crops up around the ranch needing fixing. Have a couple old ride projects I’m wanting to get to. Hate calling contractors to do stuff unless I can’t tackle it anymore. Yeah, that list is slowly expanding. Copy of my dad, just not as good. Sad part was having to do more and more stuff for him around my folks place as he aged no longer able to do it. Knew it bothered him still of sound mind watching me do stuff he used to do so well. Scary hey! We all get our turn...as a departed buddy ironically said - "Nobody get's out alive".

That's two huge plusses.
