Judging from this fender tag, this car seems pretty rare. What do you guys think? 1973 Roadrunner.

400, 727, AC, yellow on white, disc brakes, dual mirrors.... not especially rare, but neat find for the right guy. Nicely optioned if you like those colors and AC.

...but not terribly "rare".
Was not sure 1970 color FY1 made it until 73.
I thought there was a different color that year that was close.
Can't find the 70-74 color page at hamtramckhistorical any more......

Aren’t all road runners after 1969 kinda rare? Really all of them compared to the amount of SS Chevelles made.

I was thinking the car was decently rare because of the white stripe "V8W" with the "FY1" lemon twist. I have not really found any cars on the internet with this combo. Most seem to have come with a black stripe.

So a "D34" code with a 400 would have been a 727? On most websites, I just see "light duty automatic transmission" or "standard duty transmission."
I have no way of knowing because the original transmission is long gone.

D34 in 1973 is the 727, definitely not "light duty" (wherever that came from). In 73 RR, the most common performance engine/trans combo is 400/727.
As far as white stripes, .....yes less common than black on a Y1 car.... but not unheard of, especially when the car has a white interior.
Light duty not so much. Standard duty would be a better name. Not the HD 727 like used in the 440-6 and Hemi cars. (probably trucks too)

D34 on a 73 tag only tells you the 'what' (automatic transmission). It doesn't tell you the 'which' (904/727 or "light-standard-heavy duty").
D34 is found behind /6 A bodes, 340 and 440HP B bodies, 440 C bodies 318 E bodies.
On most websites, I just see "light duty automatic transmission" or "standard duty transmission." Most websites suck and fail to make necessary distinctions for clarification of concepts or applications.
