Rear axle vent bolt

Is there a difference in the size of the vent bolt for an 8 3/4? I took the one of my spare from a 65 B-body Wagon 741 case and it was too big for my 69 A-body 741. Also the two had different splines.

So it shows only one part #. As I said, I took the one of a spare 8 3/4 I had from my 65 Belvedere wagon and it wasn't the same thread. I ordered the one listed in that article. We'll see how it goes.
