Thanks Tallhair. I'm a little bummed out today, the car is sitting on it's wheels finally, carb ready to go, everything checked off and I failed to notice the Demon won't except the Holley fuel line setup (different bowl threads). So here I am waiting 2 more days for the right one to show up when it's absolutely beautiful outside, really disappointing.

Dev, I hope things start looking better over there and the weather be right so you can have some fun before its over for awhile!!! Im sure it will!!!

Hey 747 Mopar . . . it was almost 70 here yesterday, and got to 74 here today . . .

so I'll volunteer to baby sit the charger and take it for rides during the snow/salt days in Ohio ! !

Sorry I'm not finding allot of humor in that..................... It's wet and freezing here now after being so nice yesterday (typical Ohio weather). If I can get some time off work I just might drive it down there so I can actually drive it haha.......................74 degrees my a$$, I bet your running around in a T shirt too and I'll probably be wearing long johns tomorrow. Oh well, can't blame anybody but myself for the delay.

Actually everything has went really well with the upgrades other than the stripped out carburetor threads, weather looks like it might be nice this weekend?

I've had snow sticking on the ground for several weeks now and our highs have been running in the teens and low 20's. Yesterday's high was 11. So both of you have a heat wave going on compared to up here. It will be March before I can get the Coronet out if I still have it by then....god willing.

Dev...I do want to see a video of that thing with the new trans though!

Devin where i live they say one thing today, AM brings whatever lol, we arent that far away i don't think but imagine it isint to far different, today is Tuesday and i get these each night about 630, this im afraid my friend is very subject to change but ill leave it for ya!

Thanks Ron. I just checked the AccuWeather, looks like tomorrow and Thursday will be the goal (rain Fri & Sat). The fuel line showed up today from Summit right on schedule and is only a 2 minute job to install so I'm crossing my fingures. I'll try to get the Go Pro on it for you KB before I have to take it back.

Hey Devin we will all keep our fingers crossed!!! You'll get it and i DO hope we get some even better weather before winter does finally set in, ive seen it happen and i think all of us can put up with some above average temps!!! I keep telling the wife the same, i would love to have it a bit longer even if a few days.... ill keep my fingers crossed with that to!

Well fella's I took it out today but didn't learn much from the experience. First off I haven't had much time between interviews, testing, more interviews and building the kids playroom in the basement. Here's what I learned, having a new carb on it means that it needs dialed in, the clutch pedal must still have some air in it, the starter needs shimmed and I thought I caught the car on fire. Looks like another crappy weather weekend so I'll take the time to fix all of the issues, I think the issue with the clutch is that the bleeder is to low on the line (no bleeder on the throw out) so bleeding it at the thow out bearing by loosining the line should get it. Oh yeah the fire, turns out I just dumped some automatic tranny fluid on the header wrap so it took awhile to burn off phewwwww.

Heck yeah man! I'm glad it went to a good home lol. On that bleeder I had good luck with it by just cracking it open until I got a full stream out of it and closing it up. Have someone pump the petal a few times and break it loose. I think two or three times should do it. Keep on keepin on!

That's what we did, I opened it up and let it gravity feed to the bleeder then had my dad pump it several times and bled it with the pedal down. I got allot of air on the first try but nothing after that, I'll try it again but I'm pretty confident that bleeding it at the throw out will cure it if not. Thanks

The only problem I see with using a shop vac is most aren't built to run for extended periods of time and might burn up? If you can get it sealed good enough you may not have to run it constantly though. Don't know much about Carbon Fiber so I'll be watching.

Thanks Ron, I'm fighting it a bit right now to get everything looking just the way I want but I think I just about got it licked. Unfortunately the ideas usually stem from lack of money haha.........Go figure.

Well it's primed, not so much because it's done but it was getting hard to find bad spots so I figured I'd get it primered and let the block sanding find the rest. Still pushing for paint this weekend, boy do I hope so because all of my stereo stuff is here now and I'm itching to install it and crank up the jams.

Devin, i just read this "book" of posts about your build. I am stunned. You can be proud of your skills and the outcome of all of that hard work. That is just about the best looking Charger i have seen outside of a Chip Foose build. I love it. You have educated us, encouraged us and showed us the way forward without making us feel stupid or lacking in any way. In my book that speaks so well of you and shows what a person who is determined to make it happen, can do. Thanks a million for the whole thing, start to finish man. What a great ride. Congrats!

Your to kind Ghostrider, I really appreciate that and if this thread helps anybody whether it be motivation or just an idea than that's reward enough to me.......who am I kidding driving it is the reward! I'm glad you really liked the outcome as well especially after all of the little changes (some of which I was unsure of) but in the end I'm quite happy with it and would change very little. This really was nothing more than me building my Charger just the way I wanted it (or could afford) and at the same time my first real restoration or "restomod" so hell yeah I'm proud. Believe me I really do screw things up pretty often and usually learn everything the hard way so I guess it's hard for an idiot to make anybody feel stupid regardless of their ability haha.

i find that experience is the best teacher. Getting the experience the "Hard" way generally cements the learn'in a little more. LOL.

I'm at least glad to hear you had the chance to get it out and find those problems. Give yourself some time to troubleshoot, Hopefully you get at least another chance to get it out but worse case scenario at least you'll be completely ready come Spring! I was working further North from where I live Yesterday morning outside for 4 hours in -31 C ( -24F) it was a rude awakening as we've only gotten to about -10 C where I live so far this year... A reminder of what's to come I guess

Dev, I really hope you don't have to wait for spring to do things but, it may give you some ideas that would be helpful in the drive train part of all this, i would be anxious myself and have been,,, Time will tell i guess but i was told its supposed to be half way decent thru Dec, i hope there right and a good test on the Charger will work for you!!!
