Hello All,
Jimmy here. I just moved back to CT to save some money for the time being. I am apart of the young generation of Mopar fans, going to be 25 next Monday. Graduated with a Mechanical Engineering degree from Purdue in 2018. About a year ago I started working with Larry Shepard in Ohio while I was living in Indy to resurrect the A925.
The first part of the project completed was CT scanning for internal water passages and intake/exhaust ports without having to cut the heads apart. Cost about $5k. Next portion of the project will need to be splicing together all the digital info and turn it into a working CAD model. After that implement necessary modifications to tappet carrier and Head so the tappet carrier doesn't yield under stress like before. Can elaborate on that in future. After that, create a foundry model with all gating for the foundry's sand mold. Then that brings us to a working head pre-machining. Larry and I have worked out an agreement for machining and engine assembly.
Many Thanks,
Jimmy
