What is the widest tire you can put on a 5.5" rim? Do these look like late rims or early rims?

Rule of thumb is the keep the tread width about the same size as the rim width with deviation of no more than 1" either way....and those look like rims that were used in the 70's. Should be a part number on them.

Did Chrysler make a 5" wide rim in that period? A guy on CL is offer those 2 rims for 10.00 and I have been watching for steel rims. He has them advertised as 5" instead of 5.5".
