Road Trip Gulf Coast to NorCal

So does the CtC event run at the same time every year?

Next year I am planning to drive West to the Pacific on September, then drive East towards the Atlantic on October. The timing just might be good to swing by and participate (of course, assuming my car behaves itself...)

Dinner in Hartshorne, McAlester now. Hampton 312. Didn’t make the target, just short. Pics from Hartshorne. You gotta drive 270 West from Hot Springs all the way to Oklahoma.
Sweet easy driving. Great roads. Friendly people. God Bless the USA. Coronet is running.

There goes the Dollar General truck. Dollar General OWNS the South. Had to get 87 ethanol free along the way. Seems like the computer is compensating.

Back to Natchez, this is the tour of the Octagon House called Longwood. That’s Roy the guide. He was telling us about a time in the 1800’s when we weren’t getting along with the French. I commented that that was not the only time we had trouble with the French. The couple in the pic are from France. I knew that from intros earlier. He gave me the evil eye the rest of the tour.

Sound like a New Yorker according to others. Today was a Holiday, so there were a number of little (Bastards) on the tours. Not bad kids. Lots of Texans here. DFW.
Linda had to pee, so that means RIGHT NOW. So I did a Bo Duke into a parking lot at the National Forest Visitor Center. Closed of course for the Holiday.

You say that like it's a bad thing............

EEK!
No higher octane option?
I would use a 90/10 or 85/15 gas/ethanol blend before I would run such a low octane. Pinging = Damage
We keep Marine Sta-Bil 360 in both of our classic cars in case we can't get 100% gas or if they are not going to be run for a while, but that is mixed with 91 or higher octane 90/10
I like Royal Purple fuel treatment with octane boost for the occasion when I have to settle for 91 octane 90/10

Thought about that. Only took 9.1 gallons so it is blended with 93.

Called the shop to have the bad Aeromotive pump to San Jose. Gonna check it and let Ricks Tanks now. Not their pump, but they sold it.

Yeah it looks like you are indeed in good hands. Is that a turbine bronze RT in the garage? Sweet color .....
