RPM-dependent lights and wipers

70 Road Runner, fresh NAPA stock alternator, MP electronic ignition, solid state regulator. Did the ammeter bypass - the charge wire to the battery connects to the stud on the starter solenoid on the firewall. Have issues:

Dash lights are very, very dim even with a fresh dimmer switch at full bright. I have aftermarket gauges under the dash and they are bright. I got caught in the rain and noted that the wipers sped up when the RPMs did, and also the turn signals flash faster when I have the motor revved. Yes, the engine block ground is in place. I show 13V on the voltmeter once it's charged, running 14V under load (lights).

Any hints? :sign5:
