should of used valvoline TECTYL, it is a runny wax in the tin then in a couple of hours it dries to a hrd wax and they reckon you can reverse your car into the sea water and you will still not get any rust, but they do recommend recoating every 5 years. about $100 a 4 litre tin, i have coated my 68 charger in all the nooks and crannies with this stuff works well
Hi-Putting in my two cents on the rust proofing deal.I worked in commercial aviation, every aircraft we had got a coating of Dinitrol on all stringers and formers(frame)as well as all interior skin surfaces. The product dries well displaces water and can be removed with any solvent.
