Converting my 472 to Sniper EFI, hope to get started on it in a few days. Purchased the Sniper EFI setup and the Holley tank/pump/sending unit. I’ve done a couple LS swaps and told myself after those I’ll never have a car with a carb/s and non electronic ignition. People love them and can tune them, I don’t and can’t. I have enough problems with one carb. Looked around and couldn’t find anyone that is running the dual Snipers so I’ll give it a shot.

Looks awesome. I am still an old school carb dude on my classics.

I got the carbs mounted up. Fits real nice. Welded up o2 bung and fanned up throttle linkage. Original aircleaner doesn’t clear so I’m going to have to do something about that.

Looks awesome. Definitely will be my next upgrade to dual 4500 throttle bodies and EFI, someday.

Well I fired it up today, ran great right out of the box. Idle was a bit high which I fixed. Really amazed by the throttle response and the overall sound. I had it idling in my garage and didn’t smell unburnt gas, starts instantly. The original carbs were really holding this engine back. I haven’t driven it yet but may in a week or two. Still need to button up a few items on the brake swap. Air cleaner is going to be a challenge, may switch to an A12 good to gain some more room.

This is what I used.
Holley dual sniper kit, Holley tank/pump kit, corvette fuel filter/regulator, 3/8 stainless fuel line and 3/8 rubber fuel hose with push lock 6an fittings, stand-alone 100 micron filter. Once I figured out what I was going to do with the fuel lines it was an fairly easy install.

Got the air cleaner figured out, for now. Hood clearance isn’t much and the stock air cleaner wasn’t going to fit so I decided on the old school triangle air cleaners. My dad had one on a 65 Vette back when I was a kid and I thought it was so cool. I think it works on the RR. Had to move the carb hole forward on the back carb and backwards on the front carb. They would overlap about 2 inches without moving. Also was going through some paperwork and found out the Hemi is 528 cubes.
