I had a great time at the event. The cruise, show and swap were awesome. Scored some goodies for upcoming changes on the wagon. Saw other forum compadres, met some new ones and even met up with my old workmate Devin. We worked at a Chevy/Mercedes dealer in the mid 80's. Totally unexpected. Looking forward to the Fall Fling 2025.

Thank you for the pictures everyone
I do miss those shows and people...except Phil A Buster haha.
Phil seems to have others like him that appear at other shows acting the same way.
He isn't the only one to avoid....there is another guy that attends every event there. He used to be a lobbyist in state government in Sacramento. He gloms onto people like a reformed/born again religious nut or a guy that tries to sell you insurance against your will.
This is a humorous depiction....

I may try to make the drive up this fall for the Fall Fling

We had drizzle this afternoon but still made it to Bobs Big Boy in Northridge. It was a decent effort but I’m sure the weather cut the car count way down.
The cars in our group are built to drive and enjoy so we forged ahead and had a good time.
Sundays often have a bit different collection of cars at this show so it is worth checking out. Some people only come on Sunday since that is the day that cars are judged.
It's funny, the cars that only show up on the day the awards are given, I was talking to a guy with a car I hadn't seen on Saturday & mid sentence he cuts me off, "oh, the judge is here, I gotta go.." Okay...

We didn't even bring our cars onto the show field Sunday, once your in park/show rules require you stay till 1PM, we have a 5 hour drive home without stopping to eat.... We prefer to hit the road around 10:30-11AM...

We don't stay out meaning any disrespect, just gotta hit the road...

The club does a phenomenal job putting on the show as well as the connected events... If you are coming to the show and haven't come down early to join the cruise you really should, it's pretty cool to be hitting the twisties with a stunning group of cars including Hank Landy's Altered Wheel Base 65 Coronet (Honestly I was surprised how well it was able to handle to turns) Wing cars, lots of really sweet A's B's C's E's & trucks.... Hitting the stops along the way & connecting with friends both old & new... I enjoy that every bit as much if not more than the show...
