The joke is I live in AZ and we don't change here; not since 1967 IIRC...

My tablet uses a wifi signal from here in Arizona, so it has the right Arizona time. My phone is on a plan with family in California, so it has the wrong time for half a year here.
I guess they'll both be correct in a few days.

Yeah, the "school kids in the dark" don't wash. It's bullship. Inconveniences millions of adults so a few kids dont wait for a bus in the dark?
If it's THAT IMPORTANT.... move the school hours back a f#@king hour, and leave the clocks alone!

It was implemented so the school kids could work on the farm before school.

You know who doesn’t give two shits about the time change? My cats! They know in the morning at some magical time I’ve been calling 9:45AM I will feed them and they start lining up outside my door, tomorrow they will be there at the exact same time, only I will call it 10:45AM.

Also for years I had lights on a mechanical timer, adjusted to kick the lights on just before sunset, never looked at the actual time on it, there was no reason to. I had an ex who every year would remind me that I have to adjust the timer for DST or it would be off by an hour tomorrow and never seemed to understand when I said it makes no difference to the damn thing.
