I installed a set of torsion springs in my car 66 Coronet, and found out the the hinges are sprung. It looks just like the hood of a car when the hinges are sprung, works fine but the edge of the lid across the car near the rear window sits about 1/4' - 3/8" proud of the car body. I haven't torn into it yet...
So of course my question is; is there a (easy) fix, maybe bushings that can be replaced?

loosen the forward bolt on each side (bolt holding trunk lid to hinge) and see if you can lower the corners of the lid. do one side at a time....should be some good wiggle room there

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.
