started 69 runner resto

hey, figured I would start a resto thread as I am going to start to get at the roadrunner since the passon 5-speed for the challenger will not be here till at least fall. good excuse I guess.

I bought a u.s car tool stiffing kit so ill start there.

hey thx everyone, I will be putting the stiffing kit in first. I did do a mini tub to the car so I could get some bigger rubber under it, I ordered new fenders from Roseville and probably some other stuff along the way. my body guy is quite busy right now so I will get done what I can myself. thx bruce

Never had a Vacume in my shop unless the wife broke hers and I had to fix it ! LOL!!

That is one hell of a shop and two sweet cars "lucky dog". I'm in love with your Challenger, that thing is just beautiful and by the looks of it I bet the RR will be too. Looking forward to seeing it come together.

hey thanks again everyone, I spend a lot of time in the garage when im home but I kinda ruined the garage as far as grinding and welding goes, I can close the by-folding doors to keep the dust off the challenger and the wife's truck but I mostly roil everything outside to do some work hopefully the spring shows up soon. I am just fitting the frame connectors and torque boxes, not a bad fit just little massaging here and there thx bruce

hey, started the stiffing process, but now i am thinking i may replace both quarters the car had new skins installed and they do look good i just dont want to run into problems down the road. i have to replace the rear tail panel for sure. the quarters look and fit nice and also were install very well but the little voice in my head is telling me do it right the first time. what you guys think. bruce

well it's awesome for assembly and havin some beers and talkin cars with the guys, but not so good when you what to really get at something. i find myself cleaning up as i work at something but i have a large concrete area in front of the garage thats where i do most of the dirty stuff when the weather cooperates which im hoping will be better soon.

So what your telling me is a super nice clean shop isn't all that for the dirty, hot, messy work? haha

You can use my garage, I bleed breaks right on the floor and spit sunflower seeds everywhere haha (I'm quitting smoking). Seams we have the opposite problem although I'm planning a new garage that I'd like to be a bit more Purdy like yours. Keep up the good work.
