I chased my tail after this string of 8 second passes. It was a great year and I couldn't leave well enough alone.
So in the off season, I decided to raise the ladder bar up .I think I did 2 holes up which caused the car to wheelie out of control. Even though it was a crowd pleaser and I was able to ride the wheelies out. I lost .07-.09 in ET throughout the run and I couldn't find it.
So after looking at past videoes, it came to my attention that I was in fact going up and not out losing ET.
I only figured it out this year in my 65 pymouth where I was going 9.09-9.11 going way up.
I tightened the frontend down and immeditately went to 9.02-9.05.
I was thinking trans. going away, slicks worn out, valve lash adjustment different, O2 readings, and finally I thought I had worn out valve springs. None of them were the case. It was the high wheelies.
