Stolen Valor

Had a conversation with a person about the Veterans only parking spot at a local business last year. I have IRAQ tagged combat veteran license plates on my truck, they were free and I earned them, and I parked in the spot next to the Vet spot so it would be open for a handicapped vet. Now, I have a limp and walk slightly bent over ( too many crashed Hum Vees and choppers) and this person noted that and stopped me to ask me why I had not used the spot. My simple answer was that both my legs still worked and as long as they did I didn't need to park 10 feet closer to the door. She gave me a big hug and some kind words. Nice chick..

I have service related 50% but not combat and I refuse to even get a handicapped sticker because I can still walk. Wife doesn't understand when I try to explain self shame.

Airman basic 1988 San Antonio
Airman 1st class 1988 Chanute
Released honorably under hardship conditions 1988

There. Honest. Up front. No question necessary.

Right. I'm 100% combat related and I don't want one either.

Still a Veteran and thanks for your service no matter how brief. The fact that you raised your hand and took the oath counts for everything.

I’ve got 90% scheduler and 100% IU, all combat related. I was given Handicapped plates for 1 vehicle and that vehicle I do not have to pay any yearly registration.......the good thing California does.

To all my Veteran Bros, I’ll take point anytime, anywhere and fight along side you till my last breath.

Wow! I’m laughing my *** off at those 2 guys. I bet they couldn’t load an M203 if they had a video playing in front of them showing how it’s done.

Well, the state thinks that since you have a 100% from the VA, the least they can for ya is save you some money cause they are taking it away from ya st every other turn. Lol!!!

That's who they put directions on military weapons for.....

I remember in basic the DI asking us if we could read? We all shouted yes!
He handed me a LAW rocket launcher and said read this and then do that. GO! I read it and then did it. Class dismissed.
