Sunny and 60 today. I hope to get a car or two out for a little drive today. May be find a spot where the Maple trees are ablaze and take a picture or two. I need to wait for a UPS delivery first. Signature required. A couple bottles ordered.

We are both about the same longitude so our weather should be similar but you have a lot of big water to mess it up. We get a lot of our weather from the south west.

Kinda looking forward to taking my car apart a bit this winter... The saggy seat springs is a vibe killer when driving.. just feels like a old hooptie.. going to work on my gas pedal also, can't get full throttle which is a known issue with after market carb/intake on the early b-bodies.. would also like to switch to a stock throttle cable. I'm using a knock off lokar right now.. and worry bout breaking it.. not sure if the factory style ones are any better in aftermarket

I wouldn't mind a seat fix or upgrade myself. Mine is like setting on a tree stump.

as in no springs and sagging or just hard?

My main issue is i'm afraid to remove the bottom skin... the last seamstress i hired to make seat skins stole my frames and disappears.. my current seats are 4dr seats out of dvws sons car. His wife recovered them and did a great job.. looks stock

I wouild like to paint the front seat, the gray is wearing off and getting more black.. but i don't know if i could match the color

Mike. I was at the liquor store in Rochester Mn getting a bottle before our trip to Mississippi. The two employees and I had a little tasting. I ended up buying two bottles and they gave me a bottle of bourbon that was distilled in Wisconsin. I have found that i really like the wheated bourbon. I will post pictures in the stop in for a drink thread.

Hard like a rock. Someone home made the upholstery. I bet they used the wrong foam, real heavy vinyl, and fabric inserts. I have been looking at seat foams and OEM covers from Legendary. Not cheap but good stuff. That's why I started the seat thread to see what the other guys are doing for comfy seats.

I've had my "spot of tea", so now it is time to get to work. I have a few bills and other "paperwork" type things on my to do list this morning.
In the afternoon, I need to work on my daily driver Corvette engine that I pulled. It had an oil leak, and I got pissed and pulled the whole engine. So now, besides fixing the oil leak, I am doing major head work on it. It has good "double hump" heads but with the small valves. So I will port match the heads, replace the seats with hardened ones, cut out the pockets and install new valves, springs, seals, etc. It'll take some work, but since my father-in-law has all the machines, it'll just cost me time.
Anyway, I can't do jack squat until I clean and then bead blast the buggers so they can be easily handled and worked on. That's today's goal.

Pouring rain outside. Rained most of the night.
School bus goes by about 0645. Next is a local bus, used to hear it coming up tne slight hill. But now it is in silent mode.
New bus, and the dam thing is electric. Our buses are about half the size of a regular bus. That was the morning traffic report. Up the hill is Ron, he should fire up around 0735. Has a company pickup. Grounds keeper for the local 9 hole golf course, might go by much later on his Harley. He is much earlier during the summer months. But, later today is a birthday bash for George, at the golf club, are later still it is darts night. An action packed day on my Island.

I was curious so I clicked on your address. Dang, you do live on an island. Bridges to get there or is there a ferry?
