Stop on in for a cup of coffee!

Looks delicious, I can almost smell it from here?
Does it come with a statin?
:poke:
Do restaurants and bars out east serve hot beef like that. It is a staple at every small town bar and restaurant for lunch here in Iowa. Oh, and a piece of pie for desert.:rofl:

Created a hankering for biscuits and gravy .... no chance of a good example of that within 250 miles of here!

Not many that I have seen but it's a staple at this L.I. household!
Had a open faced meatloaf last night. My 10 year old niece saw it for the first time and wrinkled her nose until her "test" bite .... then she ate 2 of them!

Meatloaf, sounds good. Another comfort food Mom used to make. That reminds me, I need to make it sometime this week. Goulash is on that list as well.

I was early for an appointment in a small town. Sitting in my van wondering where i could get a bite to eat. I asked a couple fellas and they said just down the street and you’re lucky its hot beef day. They were right. It was absolutely delicious. She asked if I wanted pie and started telling me what she had left I was about to say no when she got to wild black raspberry and she picked the berries herself. She came back with 1/4 pie. I paid my bill and she gave me a to go box with another 1/4 of pie. She said we meaning her and I must be the olny people that like it.
Cant beat a small town bar

That looks really tasty too! Tomato based?
Mom's goulash is a brown base, think Swedish meatballs, with stew beef and chunked veggies over egg noodles.

I'm getting hungry.

There is a café on main street Mt Airy MD called Old Town. It's been there forever. They only serve breakfast and lunch. It is the best. There is a dish I love but they stopped making it called the Rochester garbage plate. Man that was good

Darn it guys: I just had breakfast and I'm still getting hungry - stop it!!!

My sister and her husband, along with my mom, are coming for dinner tonight, so I need to figure out something to make. Now I got a couple of ideas!
