Sure grip

I have a sure grip there is a number stamped in it 23591X it's only 10 bolt for ring gear, 8 3/4 is 12 bolts any one have any idea what this would be for. I do realize the second number is manufactured date

The 7 1/4 diff used a clutch type suregrip, so that is probably what it is.

Chevy used them too.

I didn't know chevy used the same unit, and they used 10 bolts, I believe, so there is a good chance that is what it is.

What diameter ring gear do you have? It looks like an early style Dana clutch style limited slip. A very good piece.
