Taking Up New Residence

Where was it leaking from?
Don't want to overtake this thread but here was the culprit. It cracked in half.

Well the leaking MC made more of a mess on the inside than I thought. Guess I'm pulling the steering column. I suppose to be working on the engine compartment. Now I'm under the dash! It needs to be done right. Surface rust with brake fluid mixed in. Needs total disassembly, cleaned, primer and paint.

Wow, another plus to having power brakes. I rather rebuild the booster than repair the firewall.

Weird, I lived in about the same apartment :)...

I love how easy they are to work on.

Somewhere along the way, it looks like a rollback backed into the front of the car. Minor damage but it needed to be straightened out.

One thing leads to another. Somehow I ended up on the outside of the engine compartment.

The support bracket was bent to hell and it isn't a straight piece to begin with. Got it figured out along with straightening the horizontal pieces behind the grill.

Mocked up the new ECP radiator. I think it looks low. It is lower than the factory ones by the tank height.

I know you probably don't want to hear this but you're so far along with repairing all the issues why not drop the K Frame and reinstall everything from the bottom in one shot? I've been where your at more than once..It's just so much easier and faster... .02 :BangHead:

It's a toss up. I could also strip the rest of the car and have it media blasted.
I'm just going to clean up the K frame, paint it, tape it off, shoot the firewall and inner fenders and get the engine in there. I'll leave the total restoration to someone else after I've had my fun with it. I'm not getting any younger!

Really nice work! I agree that it is tough to do, but you have to draw a line somewhere or you may never drive the car again!
