my aftermarket temperature gauge reads 240 with the a/c switched on ??but i checked with a thermal gun and it reads 193 ??what could be wrong??my stock gauge (which works)does not reach even the halfway point on the gauge(just passes through the first line)
running down here in qatar at 106 °F
440 engine edelbrock rpm heads lunati 60304 cam initial timing 14 degrees 28" 3 row stock radiator 180 thermostat dual electric fans which come on at 175°F

could the temp gauge be not working??

any help is appreciated

the stock gauge is reading low if the thermal gun is accurate...I'd swap the aftermarket and see what a second reads

Read the instructions on your thermal gun.
