Working on the other body panels now. No cutting and welding for a change!

My skill level doesn't extend into body work.
I've done some 'intermediate' body work which included a bit of minor frame straightening work but I prefer not to do it. When I started getting into that sort of stuff and saw the machinery it required....I backed off for good reason lol

Years ago I saw guys doing bodywork on fenders that were off the car and resting on those fold out stands. I’ve done amateur bodywork since the 80s and always did it with the fenders on the car. When we did the body and paint on my red car in 2002-2003, my friend wanted to use the stands. I can see that there is less bending over and twisting when the fenders are off the car. I have done stands here but haven’t used them. My last full body and paint was 2016.

coming :jackoff: along nicely RC, soon will have primers/sealers
sand a shitload more between each primers & sealers layers & then paint finally
& then block sand all the orange-peel, that the HVP gun spay out

I don't remember is it going to be base/clearcoat or (?)
what color is that org. ?
a Y4 Light Gold Met. (?)
Y6 Gold Metallic (?)
Tan T3 (?) puke, god I hope not :poke:
but I don't remember/can't tell on my monitor

IIRC it had a black (?) vinyl roof more than likely

Gonna look better in Statutory Grape than tan for sure.

I believe that the hideous original color is in the top right, dark tan poly.
