The Surrogate Mother!

you needed a haircut anyway......please be more careful

do you need me to fab up a fire helmet?

how bout a dork dish with a chin strap? :D
I need to put a dork dish hubcap in the top of my welding helmet, at least it would serve a purpose there! Lol

Today I ground down the firewall section that I grafted in,did the bodywork primed and painted it. I knew that it was too cold to paint, so it has a few runs, like Chrysler themselves sprayed it. Once the big ole Hemi is in there much of it will not be seen. This car is temporarily storing the Hemi as a running car until the other one is ready, so I can fuss more with the firewall after I remove the Hemi and install it in the 70 Charger R/T SE. Overall considering the conditions I am happy with the results.

Today I picked up four transmissions from my friend who rebuilds them. One is a big block 727 with a shift kit for my other friend. Two are 1968 18 spline Hemi 4 speed transmissions and the last one is a T10 4 speed transmission for my 69 AMX 390 4 speed car. It's like Christmas came early for me, until I got the bill! Lol

So after placing a wanted ad for a Super Bee emblem in the parts wanted section on here,a member noticed one for sale on For A bodied only and let me know about it. I can't thank that member enough for his help and the seller who sent it out to me before he even received my money order for it! Great people on both of these sites! It genuinely restores my faith in humanity as most people now a days flat out suck! That said, the plan is to make my own bigger and better Super Bee dash emblem. At Carlisle I found a correct 71 Super Bee dash emblem, it's about 5 inches long and is plastic, with three plastic mounting pins. It's black plastic with yellow painted lettering. I asked the seller how much he wanted for it with the limit of 100 dollars as my top dollar amount I would be willing to pay for a plastic emblem for a dashboard. Well the seller said he wanted $350.00 for the plastic emblem, and I said thanks but no thanks, so the plan is to paint the letters Yellow on this emblem and install it on the dashboard instead. This one as 32 bucks shipped. It is more like the size of the ones used for third generation Road Runner cars versus the puny correct plastic ones used for 71 Super Bee cars. Hopefully it looks better than the correct one!

If you could get someone to 3d print that, have some spares and sell a couple. That dash emblem is a difficult one to find, as is the
R/T.

All of my Charger R/T cars have the dash emblems fortunately. I have heard the reproduction ones melt in the sun. I couldn't believe that the guy at Carlisle wanted $350.00 for a small plastic emblem! I am sure someone could 3D print them, but a template piece would be necessary.
