Those pesky Thunderbirds are buzzing the house again.

We had the Blue Angels a few weeks ago, and then the Thunderbirds 2 weeks later.

I live 2 miles off the end of the main runway of Selfridge. We used to live 1 mile off the other end. We always have the airshows for 3 days on our property [practice and media days as well]. My wife, my best friend, and I volunteer on show days to drive frail and disabled spectators on 2 and 3-row golf-karts. It's more fun than just sitting around on the tarmac...

They fly stuff right over the house, going into Selfridge. We have A-10's and KC135's based here.

My all time favorites were late 1960 when the Blue Angels flew the F-4 Phantoms. Big plane, lots of noise and smoke!
The newer stuff is good but those big beasts had a presence that's not been topped in the last 50 years.
