Does anyone know what the clearance would be between the torque converter pilot OD and the crankshat register bore diameter. May need to make a crank bushing. But unsure of what amount of clearance would be standard. The pilot is stated as 1.81", so what would the crank register dia be ???? This is for future project. Just wanting to have some idea what I'm up against.

I don't know if I have seen a specified clearance for your question.
However the converter should be a snug fit in to the crankshaft register to centralise the converter.
Maybe 1 -3 thousands clearance.

Fwiw:

I bought a motor back around 2018 that has a crank like a top fuel with no converter register machined on the flange but had an adapter ring for a register. It has a slight press fit to stay in the crank.

It had an ID that was a bit loose to me for my converter so I had a machinist friend turn me another with a tighter fit.

I saw your post and remember having this drawing I made for my buddy and "appears" I put 2 thou for the slip fit. Dug up some supporting pics.

Converter nose was bottoming out so I shaved it a little too.
