Torque lbs for aluminum heads?

I torqued my Indy aluminum heads in 3 steps: 40ft. lbs., then 55 ft. lbs, then 70 ft. lbs. I used ARP bolts with their lube. Rechecked torque after initial break-in and cool down. No need.
I agree to check with the manufacturer of your heads for best information...

The tightening torque is determined by the fastener material. As stated above use the suppliers spec. If stock bolts use the factory spec.
