The 70 and up B body can or collet is the same as the A body or truck can. The longer ribbed can is E body only.

I think you're wrong I have just remove one of these from a 70 charger same exact can as my 72 Challenger has I'll try to find an original picture and put it online

PS I guess the can could have been put on the charger a long time ago and I'm just going on what I've personally done I'm not sure

I have been building 70 Chargers for forty years,and I never seen the longer ribbed collet on a B body.

I've only seen the long, ribbed can on E bodies.

But the charger and not been painted and the interior look original but someone could have put it on there I'm not in a position to argue the point I just never say never
