Just Wondering How The Rear Spring Shackle Retainers Get Installed?

I Got a Round Bushing and a Piece of Channel That It Slides Into. Seems Too Wide For The Frame Rail. In The Original Location It Fits Well..

Also Which Way Is Forward?

They Have an Angle To Them. Thank You
