I mailed a letter to the USA with a stamp November 3rd. It made it there on November 9th. Not a parcel
but 6 days not bad.

I've bought over a hundred items for ebay in the late 3 months. Some for my car and mostly for my diorama and train layout. Two didn't make it and I was reimbursed immediately. I mentioned that I was told that standard mail is a 5 day delivery. I've had stuff go around the country and still end up at my door. Nothing else works right in this country now, according to most, why should the mail be any different. 5 dollar item cost 8.95 to ship. We don't want to work for less, why should they, is the main problem. Work ethic in this country is shot to hell. More money, less work is extremely normal now. Give it five years or so and watch was you see......

The postal service is not a business. It is a service provided by the government that is partially funded my postage. The idea that it should make money is not how it was laid out or intended…I agree about the bureaucratic waste and top heavy nature of the organization.

just went to gmail to find the tracking of a recent package but the wife trashed it already...the general gist was it left Illinois,went to charlotte NC ,then to my local post office in 3 days...then was promptly sent to Conneticuit for a week before going back to Charlotte and my local post office a week later...needed it before my sister in law left for New York so had to order another one, they both showed up on the same day....another time I had ordered some hood insulation clips from DMT, they showed as delivered but weren't...postmaster claimed they went back to the wrong delivery house twice but package not there ...called DMT to have him file a claim, got the "do you know how much my time is worth, I'm not going to contact those idiots" rant and he just sent me out another set...a month later the woman that got them showed up...they were put in an abandoned mailbox on her property that she used to use years ago before the post office made her move the box to the curb...

Look in the 'trash' folder of gmail....unless it's been deleted from there too, it'll be there.
